Exploring the Spice with Chef REUBY | Oct. 29th

After the success of our Exploring the Spice series debuting at 48 Record Bar, I have continued to take this series all around Philadelphia, from Khyber Pass to the Ranstead Room. I am so excited to announce that we are back for another event, this time in partnership with REUBY. Reuby is the brand created by the culinary mastermind, Chef Reuben Asharam, and is responsible for some of the most intriguing Indian-fusion pop-ups throughout the city. For this installment, REUBY and I are coming together to create a Chef’s Tasting like no other; each course will be inspired by culinary themes from our favorite Bollywood movies. Throughout each course, we will spin through the record and talk about the correlation behind each dish and soundtrack. Your ticket which you can purchase below is all in for your meal with gratuity and taxes included, with some courses including beverage pairings as well. Tickets are reserved to 36 seats, so don’t wait! Whether you’re a food lover, a Bollywood lover, or getting ready to kick off your Diwali festivities, this event is for you!

what have we done in the past?

Join us for an evening of wellness as we honor the late D’Angelo & his timeless music. This wellness event is intended to use pilates, yoga, & meditation to connect with his discography. The movements will be relaxed but intentional. Wear loose & comfortable clothing as we connect our bodies & our minds with his sound. We will have mats available for you, just bring water. Doors open at 5, the event will begin promptly at 5:20. We will also have our signature Spiced (Infused) Teas for sale. While the event is physical, it is not strenuous or intense. It is meant to be slow and fluid. We will begin with 40 minutes of stretching and mat pilates movements to connect deeper with our bodies. We will then use that connection to help us flow through 40 minutes of a yin yoga flow, which will involve holding poses for longer. We will conclude with a 20 minute meditation to reflect on our thoughts and emotions.
